Building Trust from the Ground Up
A complete brand for a new, locally owned chimney service in Seattle, designed to feel credible from day one.
Impact
The brief
Chimney 360 was a brand-new, locally owned chimney service. The owner wanted it to feel friendly, trustworthy, professional and local. With only a few reviews to start, the brand had to look established from the very first day.
His customers are homeowners who care about the safety of their home and family, reliable service, fair pricing and being treated well.
How we got there
I reviewed competitors, gathered inspiration and explored directions in Figma and Canva. I shared each stage with the owner, took his feedback, and moved forward once he approved. The final identity was the one he loved and felt fit the company.
The hardest part wasn't any single design. It was bringing a lot of moving parts together while helping a first-time owner feel confident in his brand.
Identity
The chimney illustration and badge shape make the service recognizable at a glance and give the brand a dependable, neighborhood-business feel. A full badge and a compact lockup keep it readable anywhere, from a website header to a shirt chest.

Company values
#A0493D
References the brickwork at the heart of the service.
#231F20
Communicates strength.
#F5F5E8
Adds warmth. Most competitors I reviewed relied on red and black, so cream makes Chimney 360 more approachable.
#C2BBAD
A soft supporting tone for outlines and the smoke.
The company's values, "Clean. Inspect. Repair. Protect.", came from the owner. I turned them into a typographic element for the crew apparel.
Brand in use
One system across every place a homeowner meets the business.
Neighborhood visibility
The yard signs were my idea. After a service, happy customers keep a sign on their lawn for about a week, so neighbors see the name and have someone they know to ask about it.
We made two versions: a recommendation sign, and a "take a photo of me for a discount" sign to get people to stop and engage.
Those glowing Google reviews were doing a lot of work online, and none in real life. So I figured, why not let happy customers say it on their front lawn? A yard sign is a five-star review your neighbor can't scroll past on their morning dog walk.
Website
I designed and wrote the website to make the services easy to understand and getting in touch effortless. A call button and estimate form sit right at the top, each service is laid out clearly with its starting price, and licensed, bonded and review badges reinforce trust throughout.
I also helped set up the Google Business Profile and publish the company's Facebook and Instagram content.

Outcome
The identity runs across the website, print, the truck and the crew's apparel today, and customers have told the owner they found Chimney 360 through the website. Most of all, he loved the identity and felt it represented his company. He now has a cohesive brand he's confident putting in front of every customer.
